Verizon's HTC Ozone available early online

News by Brian James Kirk on Monday June 29, 2009.

The HTC Ozone smartphone, announced late last week, is now available online from Verizon several weeks before its official release date. With a full-QWERTY keyboard, the Windows Mobile 6.1-powered device features a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and support for Verizon's CDMA network. It also has support for GSM networks around the globe.

With 3G data connectivity and WiFi on-board, the phone should blaze on the web no matter where you are. It includes a high capacity 1500mAh battery for 4.8 hours of estimated talk time and 13.5 days of estimated standby time.

The phone features a microSD card slot for storing multimedia which should look great on its 2.4-inch QVGA display. Users can hop onto AIM, Windows Live, and Yahoo! instant messaging applications to chat with friends, and there is also support for standard Verizon offerings like VZ Navigator, Visual Voice Mail, and more.

The HTC Ozone is available for 49.99 after a two-year agreement and online discount.
