Shortly after the launch of the Palm Pre on Saturday, June 6, the company released a last minute software update bringing webOS to version 1.0.2. According to MyPre.com, the 67MB over-the-air download increases stability and adds a new alarm clock. Some users noted having to restore their devices from a Palm Profile backup after the update.
In related news, Palm Vice President of Global Sales Dave Whalen said at a press event Friday that the webOS public Software Developers Kit would be coming "very close to launch" of the Palm Pre smartphone. The SDK has not yet been released. [via GearLog]
