Verizon to release BlackBerry Storm 9530 update on Sunday

Verizon Wireless has announced that it will be releasing the long-awaited RIM BlackBerry Storm firmware update to users on Sunday, May 31. The update is known as version 4.7.0.148, and it will be available on the web starting at 3PM EDT from the BlackBerry update website. Verizon has also said that it will release the update to customers as an over-the-air download starting at 10PM EDT, after which time customers can use the over the air update for their Storm smartphones by going to Options> Advanced Options > Wireless Updates on their device.

Verizon has not specified what enhancements and bug fixes the update addresses, only noting that it "improves the overall user experience."
