Garmin-ASUS nuvifone G60 delayed to second half of '09
News by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday May 12, 2009.
The Garmin-ASUS nuvifone G60 touchscreen navigation phone, originally announced in February, and slated to be available in the first half of the year has been delayed to the second half.
Garmin President and COO Cliff Pemble gave investors the bad news during a first-quarter earnings conference call on May 6, according to Twice.
Garmin-ASUS has two nuvifone devices planned, the G60, a Linux-powered device, and the M20, a Windows Mobile-powered device. The G60 was to be launched in the first half of 2009, with the M20 to follow in the second half. It is not known how the delays will effect the roll-out plans.
