Sprint Sierra Wireless AirCard 402 2-in-1 mobile broadband card now available

Sprint has announced the availability of the Sierra Wireless AirCard 402 two-in-one mobile EVDO broadband adapter for standard PC card slots and ExpressCard slots. Available for PC and Mac notebooks, the Aircard 402 includes UMTS (800/1900MHz) support with EV-DO and 1xRTT data connectivity. Sprint clocks typical download speeds at 600Kbps to 1.4Mbps with peak speeds of up to 3.1Mbps. Users should experience upload speeds of 350-500Kbps with peak speeds of up to 1.8Mbps.

The hardware also includes GPS capabilities so users can quickly and accurately find their location. With automatic software installation, a CD is no longer required to get your mobile broadband connection up and running.

Sprint's Sierra Wireless AirCard 402 is available today for $99.99 with a two-year customer agreement and mail-in rebate.
