Hulu to stream iPhone video over 3G; Apple patents UI improvements
News by Brian James Kirk on Monday April 20, 2009.
According to mocoNews, Hulu is working on a native iPhone and iPod Touch application to stream its video platform on the device. Apparently, the mobile application will support WiFi and over-the-air 3G streaming, a surprising revelation after rumors that Sling Media's SlingPlayer Mobile application was preliminarily rejected because of the potential strain on the network.
In related iPhone news, the publication is also reporting that Apple has patented processes to allow the user interface to respond to the device's accelerometer. The patents would allow the device to respond to different activities such as jogging, standing still or placement in a handbag. Also, the patents suggest that iPhone will be able to adjust to user-made mistakes, like accidentally clicking buttons.
