Alltel now offering Motorola Evoke QA4 touchscreen phone to customers

Product Launch by Michael Oryl on Thursday April 16, 2009.

Today Alltel Wireless announced that the new Motorola Evoke QA4, a handset featured recently at the CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, is now available to its subscribers. The Evoke is a social networking-centric touchscreen phone that comes equipped with a slide-out 12 key keypad to aid with text input and dialing tasks.

The Evoke QA4 offers users an on-screen QWERTY keyboard on its 2.8-inch display for more text intensive tasks. The display can also be loaded up with live-data widgets that will keep users in step with what's going on in the world. If users prefer to get their information directly from the source, then the Evoke's full HTML web browser should do the trick.

Other features of note on the Motorola Evoke QA4 include a 2 megapixel camera, a GPS receiver for Alltel Navigation, and a slick new user interface. There's even support for Alltel's TV on Demand service.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 is available for US$79.99, after rebates, when picked up with a new two-year contract.

I just purchased this unit two weeks ago and I love it.
Small form factor, great touchscreen, great clarity, great battery life, and solid like most Motorola products! I'm not a texter, so I don't like tiny qwerty keyboards! This unit has a virtual qwerty and large slide-out dial pad which is rare now days. I would highly recommend this phone if you're looking for a well made touchscreen phone.
