Sony Ericsson appoints new Sony Ericsson USA president and North American head

Today Sony Ericsson announced that it was making Anderson Teixeira its new president of Sony Ericsson US as well as Head of Region North America, effective June 1. Teixeira fills the gap left in the North American operations by Najmi Jarwala, who tenured his resignation last month. Teixeira is currently holds the title of Head of Region Western Europe, a position that will be filled by Kristian Tear on June 1 when Teixeira moves to his new office in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Teixeira is a native of Brazil and has been with Sony Ericsson since Sony and Ericsson first created the joint venture in 2001. In the past he has held the position of Head of Latin America. Tear, born in Sweden, joined the company in 2005 and has been responsible for the strategic accounts management at Sony Ericsson.
