Report: iPhone's Tap Tap Revenge has been downloaded by more than a third of users

News by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday April 07, 2009.

Tapulous's Tap Tap Revenge is the most downloaded application in Apple's App Store. More than a third of iPhone and iPod Touch users have downloaded the incredibly popular free music game. ComScore announced the results after monitoring two million online users. Although iTunes only ranks the application as 76th on its comprehensive list of applications, comScore's results show cumulative results since July 2008 when App Store launched.

In related app news, the NBA has released the Game Time application for the Android OS, the first major sports league to release an official application for Google's operating system. The Game Time application gives users access to scores, statistics, standings, and schedules. Although video content is not available, executives are planning future roll-outs that could include more digital content. [via mocoNews]
