Today Sprint announced the availability of a bright yellow version of the Motorola i580, a ruggedized push-to-talk^(INFO) cell phone that has been a mainstay for Sprint's Nextel network. The Motorola i580 features a 262k color main display and the option of using a standard 1130mAh battery or a massive 1640mAh extended battery.

The Moto i580 features a built-in GPS system that works with the pre-loaded TeleNav turn-by-turn navigation software, has a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, and is certified to MIL-SPEC 810F standards for dust, shock, vibration, temperature, pressure, and solar radiation tolerance.

The Motorola i580 is currently available from Sprint for US$119.99 with a new two-year agreement.
