Apple to demonstrate iPhone 3.0 software on March 17
Newsbrief by Michael Oryl on Thursday March 12, 2009.
Apple has said that it plans to unveil version 3 of the iPhone operating system at an event on March 17, to be held at 10AM PST (1PM EST). According to Engadget, which has received an invitation to the event, Apple stated that it will only be previewing the OS, not releasing the final version that will eventually be available to consumers. A look at a new version of the SDK is also supposedly on the schedule.

’m amazed how people still praise this phone. Yes you can download tons of games and crazy apps, but these are all made by people out side Apple.
This time Apple has to make a serious update. Actually there hasn’t been anything done anything from apple’s side to make this phone work for business people.
The feedback site for the iphone is the biggest black hole on planet earth, and a lot of people are going back to there blackberry for simple reasons.
Copy/paste
video recording
mms and the list goes on and on.
Websites like: please fix my iphone , is popping up because Apple’s disrespect for there consumers grows bigger and bigger.
Apple this is your chance. Do it right this time

Just jailbreak if you already have an iPhone. You can do all the things you suggest such as video recording, mms, copy/paste, you can even block calls/sms from unwanted phone numbers. I don't forsee Apple allowing these things, at least not in the near future. The iPhone is praised highly not for the phone features, but the ability to stay connected in our fast paced world. There are tons of apps that Apple doesn't allow so now teh Cydia store will offer those. I have GPS on my iPhone also. I understand your frustration because I've had them too so I jailbroke mine. I suggest until Apple decides to take more interest in consumer requests for us all to take matters into our own hands and do the same. Still backwards compatible with iTunes and the App Store. All the benefits of existing features while getting all the ones we all want. No loss unless you want to void your warranty but all you have to do is restore it back to factory settings to be back in compliance with Apple's warranty.
