Newsbrief by Brian James Kirk on Friday March 06, 2009.

RIM has announced a new version of MySpace for BlackBerry, updating the social networking service's mobile application to v1.5.

The new version allows users to view friend updates with thumbnails within the application, and now supports instantaneous mobile notifications and messaging. Users also have the ability to save messages and bulletins as drafts.

Bands will be able to add tour dates and profile items such as "Upcoming Shows," from their mobile devices. Also added is support for French, German, Italian, and Spanish languages.

Users can install the MySpace for BlackBerry v1.5 by visiting mobile.blackberry.com.
