We just got word from Nokia that the company has addressed the problem that some users of the North American variant of the 5800 XpressMusic smartphone were having with 3G networks in certain parts of the country. According to Nokia, the problem had to do with a configuration change that had been made to the phone.
Nokia informed us that the 5800 XpressMusic for North America will go back on sale shortly, and that customers experiencing 3G access problems with their 5800 XpressMusic smartphones should contact Nokia Customer Care at 1-888-665-4228 Monday through Friday, 9AM to 9PM EST.
