RIM announces BlackBerry App World as name of its application store

Research In Motion's PR firm just informed us that the company has finally announced a name for its forthcoming application store for BlackBerry smartphones: BlackBerry App World. Users will be able to register to be alerted when the app store opens by going to www.BlackBerry.com/appworld any time after 10PM Eastern time tonight.
RIM's developer website is being updated to reflect the new application store and will reopen at 10PM Eastern time tonight as well.
