T-Mobile introduces Samsung SGH-t929 Memoir 8 megapixel touchscreen phone

News by Ricky Cadden on Sunday February 15, 2009.

T-Mobile and Samsung have officially announced that the Samsung SGH-t929 Memoir, which was announced earlier this month, is set to be available on February 25, priced at US$249.99, after a 2-year commitment and mail-in rebate.

The Samsung SGH-t929 Memoir sports a large 3.1" (240x400 pixels) resolution touchscreen display, with Samsung's widget-based TouchWiz user interface. This interface features a number of widgets, which can be positioned anywhere the user wants on the homescreen.

The Samsung SGH-t929 Memoir also features an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and a real Xenon flash. This camera phone also sports blink detection, face detection, and digital image stabilization. The Memoir's built-in GPS receiver can also be used to geotag photos with location information.
