T-Mobile's Shadow 2009 smartphone and stylish Nokia 7510 clamshell now available

News by Brian James Kirk on Wednesday January 28, 2009.

T-Mobile has made available two additions to its 2009 winter line-up: the T-Mobile Shadow 2009 and the Nokia 7510.

The T-Mobile Shadow 2009 is the upgraded variant of T-Mobile's original Shadow, and this brand continues to provide the rich features of Windows Mobile 6.1 without the complexity found in business-oriented messaging and multimedia devices. The Shadow 2009 includes quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and WiFi for speedy networked connections. UMA is also supported, enabling T-Mobile's Unlimited HotSpot Calling service.

The Shadow 2009 features a spinnable d-pad and slide-out 20-key hybrid QWERTY keyboard for a great combination of functionality and design. The 2.2-inch QVGA display will vibrantly show images captured with the Shadow's 2 megapixel camera onto supported microSD memory cards. The T-Mobile Shadow 2009 is available today for $149.99 with a two-year service agreement and data plan.

The Nokia 7510 is a stylish clamshell that hides a surprise on its external front display. When unlit, the display appears to be a solid faceplate. When activated, the display shows interesting designs or functions as a clock. It is available with three changeable faceplates in expresso brown, fatal red, and emerald green colors.

The Nokia 7510 isn't just for fashion. It features a music and video player along with a 2 megapixel camera with video capture. A microSD card slot is onboard for expanded storage. The flip-phone also supports UMA WiFi calls with T-Mobile's Unlimited HotSpot Calling service. The Nokia 7510 is available for $49.99 with a two-year service agreement.

Both the T-Mobile Shadow 2009 and the Nokia 7510 are available at select T-Mobile retail locations and online at the company's web site.
