Samsung licenses SRS technology for improved audio quality

Samsung announced that it has licensed SRS Labs' technology to improve the audio performance in some of its upcoming cell phones. The multi-license, multi-year agreement includes SRS Circle Surround Headphones, SRS WOW HD, and SRS VIP+ technologies.

SRS Labs' technology enhances audio performance by utilizing software that simulates full 5.1 surround sound, and implementing other immersive audio technologies. Samsung will also use SRS Labs' technology to improve the call quality of its cell phones including noise reduction technology.
