Nokia 5800 XpressMusic gets new firmware

Newsbrief by Ricky Cadden on Wednesday January 14, 2009.

Nokia just released a new firmware update for its 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen smartphone. Firmware v11.0.008, which is now available through Nokia's Software Update application, brings additional overall system stability as well as the addition of Google Search to the device's built-in internet search application.

The new firmware also addresses bugs in the web browser and music player, among other things. You can download the latest version of Nokia's Software Update application from Nokia. It is advised that you backup any important information before performing the update. [via Symbian-Guru.com]
