Two new applications are available for BlackBerry smartphones today, SlingPlayer for Mobile and Yahoo! Go. SlingPlayer for Mobile, from Sling Media, is available as a public beta, and requires you to have a SlingBox connected to your home television. This application enables you to stream your home television content to your smartphone over any data connection. [via Boy Genius Report]

Yahoo! Go has also been updated to support the new BlackBerry Bold 9000. Yahoo! Go is an application that provides access to a number of Yahoo! services and products, including search, stocks, and email. Users can use the application to upload photos to Flickr, and even get news headlines quickly. Simply direct your phone's web browser to http://mobile.yahoo.com/go to get the latest version.
