Nokia China shows off unannounced 6208c touchscreen candybar

News by Ricky Cadden on Friday December 26, 2008.

Nokia China has published details on the 6208c, an unannounced cell phone with a touchscreen display, yet does not run Nokia's S60 smartphone OS as best we can tell. The Nokia 6208c comes with a stylus and features handwriting recognition. A 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash are also on board.

The Nokia 6208c sports a 2.4" QVGA (240x320 pixels) touchscreen display, standard 3.5mm audio port, and a microSD card slot for extra storage. Connectivity is handled with tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) support, as well as Bluetooth 2.0. The 860mAh battery is estimated to provide 3.5 hours of talk time and up to 12.5 days of standby time.

The Nokia 6208c has yet to be officially announced, so we have not confirmed an expected availability date or pricing. The official page can be seen on Nokia China's website here.
