Sprint now offering BlackBerry 8350i smartphone

Newsbrief by Ricky Cadden on Monday December 15, 2008.

After announcing the RIM BlackBerry 8350i back in September, Sprint has finally begun selling the ruggedized smartphone through its online channels. The BlackBerry 8350i supports the iDEN PTT (Push-to-Talk) network, with the Nextel Direct Connect service.

The RIM BlackBerry 8350i also packs in a 2 megapixel camera, WiFi for fast data transfers, and a built-in GPS receiver, for navigation. A microSD card slot offers plenty of space for extra storage, and the QWERTY keyboard makes text input a breeze.

Sprint is currently offering the RIM BlackBerry 8350i through its online store, priced at $149.99 after a 2-year commitment and mail-in rebate, with in-store availability set for January.
