Vertu has proven that even high luxury devices can look like crumpled paper with the Boucheron 150, a solid gold cell phone that was recently unveiled. The Boucheron 150 was designed specifically for the 150th anniversary of the Boucheron jewelry house in Paris, France
The Vertu Boucheron 150 is built from solid gold, and reportedly took the designer 1000 hours to cut into its shape. An additional 700 hours were spent polishing the surface, and over 500 hours to build the handset.
The packaging is a solid piece of wood, carved into an equally-angled box, to match its contents. No specifications are available for the Boucheron 150, though pricing is speculated to be more than US$30000. [via Unwired View]
