TiVo Mobile lets users schedule recordings from their cell phone

TiVo has finally launched the oft-rumored mobile-friendly version of its website that will give subscribers the ability to schedule recordings directly from their cell phone. Currently, Verizon customers have the option of paying a monthly fee for mobile TiVo access, but this new site is free, and available to any cell phone, regardless of carrier.

The TiVo mobile site will allow all subscribers to search for shows and browse the guide, but the scheduling feature is only supported on TiVo Series2 and Series3 set top boxes. Subscribers can point their cell phones' web browser to http://m.TiVo.com to access the new site. [via MoCoNews.net]
