Alltel adds HTC Touch Pro smartphone to its lineup

Alltel has joined the ranks of AT&T and Sprint in offering the HTC Touch Pro, a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional-powered smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Touch Pro also uses HTC's TouchFLO 3D user interface, which aims to make the phone's menus more finger-friendly.

The HTC Touch Pro from Alltel offers EV-DO Rev A support for Alltel's high-speed network, in addition to a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with video recording capabilities. A microSD card slot is also on-board, for extra storage space.

The HTC Touch Pro is available today from Alltel's online shop, priced at $279.99 after a 2-year contract and mail-in rebate.
