Kodak sues LG and Samsung over digital imaging patents

Eastman Kodak has filed a lawsuit against both LG and Samsung that claims that the cell phone manufacturers are infringing upon its digital imaging patents. The patents in question cover image compression, capture, and storage, as well as previewing video content.

Other cell phone manufacturers have licensed Kodak's technology for use in their cameraphones, but apparently LG and Samsung decided to do their own thing. Both manufacturers have stated that they intend to fight the lawsuits. [via PhoneScoop]
