Motorola announces VE66 slider with 5 megapixel camera

Product Launch by Ricky Cadden on Tuesday November 18, 2008.

Today Motorola announced a new slider cell phone, the VE66. The VE66 brings its 5 megapixel camera to the cell phone party, alongside an LED flash and autofocus. A dedicated camera button makes photography a snap, and built-in digital image stabilization and red-eye reduction should provide for great photos.

The Motorola VE66 also features Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, which filters out background noise for superior call quality. A unique 'FastScroll' navigation wheel allows you to quickly scroll through the various menus on the VE66, and an integrated FM radio allows you to jam out on the go. WiFi is also on board for high-speed data transfers.

The Motorola VE66 is set to be available in Q4 2008, though pricing information was not yet announced.
