Sprint details its new pro-rated ETF policy
News by Ricky Cadden on Friday October 31, 2008.
Sprint has finally given details on its new pro-rated ETF (early termination fee) policy. The new policy only applies to contracts that are signed on or after November 2nd, 2008, and will require consumers to pay a termination fee that is reduced based on how far into the current contract term they are.
For contracts cancelled within 6 months of being initiated, subscribers will have the standard $200 ETF to terminate early. Starting on the seventh month, the ETF will be reduced by $10/month for each month, so that after 12 months, the ETF will be reduced to $140. This pro-rated ETF policy has a minimum of $50, though.
