FCC approves the Nokia N85 with AT&T 3G support

News by Ricky Cadden on Thursday October 30, 2008.

The Nokia N85 for North America slipped through the FCC today, sporting much-anticipated tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz) support for both AT&T's 3G network and European 3G networks. Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support is also on board as a backup system.

The Nokia N85 features a 2.6" AMOLED(INFO) display in addition to a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash. The phone is also loaded up with an FM transmitter, a microSD card slot, and a standard 3.5mm audio port that pulls double-duty for the TV-out function.

You can peruse the FCC documents for yourself here. The Nokia N85 NAM is expected to be available soon, with pricing previously announced at EUR450 (US$665) before taxes and subsidies. [via Boy Genius Report]
