i-mate to de-list from London's AIM stock exchange
News by Michael Oryl on Monday October 20, 2008.
It appears that things are still not looking up for Windows Mobile smartphone manufacturer i-mate. The company's CEO, Jim Morrison, recently stated that he plans to have the company de-listed from London's AIM stock exchange within 60 days. De-listing the company will make it privately owned and will save the organization some US$2 million in listing expenses.
Back in March of this year the company laid off most of its U.S. staff in an effort to cut costs. The U.S. offices had been part of a planned assault on the North American market that never materialized.
The company recently reported a loss of $10.8 million for the prior 6 month period.
