New Palm OS is delayed again, new phones in Summer 2009

Newsbrief by Ricky Cadden on Monday September 22, 2008.

Palm recently announced that its new operating system, developed entirely in-house, is planned to be completed by the end of 2008, with the first cell phones to use the new operating system available in June 2009. This is yet another delay for the new operating system, which was originally set to be completed in 2007.

Current Palm OS-powered devices, such as the popular Centro, use Palm OS v5.4m, which is also known as 'Garnet'. The new operating system is known by the code name 'Nova'. [via: Gizmodo]
