AT&T chooses Yahoo! OneSearch for MEdia Net portal

Newsbrief by Michael Oryl on Monday September 08, 2008.

Today AT&T announced that Yahoo! OneSearch would be the default search engine for AT&T's MEdia Net mobile phone portal. OneSearch will be used to supply users with normal search results of news, weather, and financial information as well as photos, ringtones, games, and other purchasable content from AT&T - all with a single search query.

AT&T also announced that, starting today, Yahoo! will provide mobile advertising on the AT&T search portal.

Only a couple of weeks ago did we first catch wind of a potentially similar deal between Google and Verizon Wireless. So far, though, no official announcements regarding that potential partnership have been made.
