RIM BlackBerry 8220 KickStart and 8210 SeaWolf leaked by Expansys

News by Ricky Cadden on Tuesday August 19, 2008.

While there has been no official word from Research in Motion on the BlackBerry 8220 and 8120 clamshell smartphones, which went by the code name of KickStart, online retailer Expansys has posted a pre-order page for the new handset. Featuring a 20-key SureType keyboard and WiFi connectivity, the BlackBerry 8210 and 8220 look to be coming soon.

The photos above were taken from the Expansys.com website, which is why they have a watermark on them. RIM has not released any official photos.

Since this is not an official announcement, the details that Expansys published are subject to change. From the looks of it, the BlackBerry 8220 will sport quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and Bluetooth 2.0. A 3.5mm audio port offers easy enjoyment of your music, while the microSD card slot allows for plenty of storage. The 8210 sports the same form factor and features except for the fact that it gets GPS support instead of the 8220's WiFi.

Pricing and availability details are currently unavailable. We'll have to wait for RIM to officially announce these products before we can say anything for certain.
