Palm Treo Pro spotted on a Palm training website

Newsbrief by Michael Oryl on Friday August 15, 2008.

Today appears to be a big day for rumors, which is no surprise since Friday's are typically slow anyway. So here's one, it looks like Palm's "Treo 850" is actually going to be dubbed the Treo Pro. One of the users at WMExperts managed to dig up a flash presentation on a public Palm website that shows the Treo Pro in all its glory.

From what we can tell, the Treo Pro will run the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system and will sport such features as a 3.5mm headset jack, a dedicated WiFi button, and a micro-USB connector. It seems to be quite similar to the Treo 800w, except for the 3.5mm audio jack and the assumption that this phone will, at least initially, run on GSM and UMTS networks.
