MySpace has officially moved past the carrier-specific mobile applications currently offered and launched a free-access mobile version of its website. The popular social networking service will be using ads to monetize the mobile site.
MySpace currently has subscription-based applications for both AT&T and Helio, but will be offering the new mobile site on any network. There will be prominent links on the main MySpace pages, encouraging users to visit the site from their mobile devices.
