Google Gears Comes to Windows Mobile

News by Ricky Cadden on Tuesday March 04, 2008.

Last night, Google announced the availability of its Google Gears product for Windows Mobile-powered handsets. Google Gears allows consumers to use web-based applications even when there is no web access.

Google Gears can be used on Windows Mobile-powered devices for services such as Zoho, which will prompt the user to download Google Gears. This will eliminate the biggest limitation of web-based applications by allowing them to function even when there is no network access available. Google expects to make Google Gears Mobile available on other platforms with capable web browsers soon.

Google Gears can be downloaded from http://gears.google.com from your Windows Mobile 5 or 6 smartphone.
