Samsung Launches Guru100 Candybar in India

The Samsung Guru100, a candybar handset recently launched in India, is unique due to its Hinglish SMS feature that allows users to compose messages in both English and Hindi. The handset also sports dual-band GSM (900/1800MHz) support and MP3 ringtones, including two popular Bollywood hits pre-installed.

This 104mm x 44mm x 16.3mm (4" x 1.7" x .6") candybar weighs in at 78g (2.8oz) and also features a 1.5" 65k color display with 128 x 128 pixel resolution. Designed to bring better features to the entry-level market, the Samsung Guru100 retails for a frugal INR1949 (US$49). [via EngadgetMobile]
