Samsung Shows Off High-Style SGH-L170

Product Launch by Ricky Cadden on Saturday February 16, 2008.

Samsung showed off its SGH-L170 at the 2008 Mobile World Congress last week, and it's quite the looker. Sporting a 2 megapixel camera and a secondary front-facing VGA-resolution camera for video calling (where supported), the L170 is certainly appears to be a very nice device.

Unfortunately, the L170 likely won't be headed to the U.S. market, with only tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) and UMTS (2100MHz). The display is a mediocre 1.6" 262k color screen with 176x220 pixel resolution, making video playback likely a poor experience. The L170 does come equipped with an RSS feed reader and mobile blogging software, though, and supports the playback of a number of different formats of music files.

Samsung has not yet announced pricing or availability information for this handset.
