Samsung Pushes Out SGH-F400 Music Phone with ICEpower

Product Launch by Michael Oryl on Monday February 11, 2008.

Today in Barcelona, Samsung introduced the SGH-F400. The F400 focuses on audio, and to that end Samsung has worked with Bang & Olufsen to incoporate the ICEpower audio amplifier that drives the external speaker hidden in this bi-directional slider phone that shares some traits with the Serenata.

The F400 sports a built-in RDS capable FM radio and Bluetooth wireless support. Samsung also says that the F400 includes a music recognition function. On top of that, the F400 has a decently large 2.2" QVGA resolution display and a 3 megapixel digital camera built-in.

The Samsung SGH-F400 measures up at 103mm x 48mm x 16.9mm (4.1" x 1.9" x .7") and supports GSM/EDGE on the 900, 1800, and 1900MHz bands as well as UMTS/HSDPA on the 2100MHz band. No word yet on when it will be available or how much it will cost.
