MoGo Wireless has announced its personal mobile cell tower product line live at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The small device functions as a cellular signal booster and is compatible with the 800/1900MHz frequencies used by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltel, and Verizon, in addition to the smaller regional carriers. The unit offers a 50dB system gain, increasing available cellular coverage by up to 200%.
There is no installation or setup necessary. Users simply plug the MoGo boosters into a power source and the closest handset is automatically detected. They can also be used by multiple handsets at the same time, for the highest level of convenience. The product line will include a home version as well as a mobile solution complete with 12v auto adapter.
The MoGo Portable Wireless Cellular Amplifiers will debut at major retailers later this year with an estimated price of $149.
