Today T-Mobile launched the Samsung SGH-t739 Katalyst, a slim slider with support for T-Mobile's HotSpot@Home service, which allows users to place calls over a WiFi hotspot for unlimited nationwide calls.
The Katalyst features a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture so that you never miss the moment. An MP3 player backed up by microSD card slot should keep the tunes playing, and the Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets makes it easy to enjoy your music without wires. The Katalyst is also well connected, with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz), and data over EDGE or WiFi. Those data options are put to good use by the Katalyst's built-in IM client, which supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! messaging.
The Samsung Katalyst has built-in support for T-Mobile's MyFaves service, which allows you to call and receive calls from 5 user-selected phone numbers for free. Clad in a titanium color scheme, the Katalyst measures 102mm x 51mm x 16.5mm (4" x 2" x .65") and weighs in at 113g (4oz).
The Katalyst should be available today from the T-Mobile website and T-Mobile retail locations. T-Mobile has priced the phone at US$79.99 with a new 2 year contract.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! I had ordered 2 of them. 1 for myself and 1 for my daughter. In the past year, mine has been exchanged 6 times, and my daughter's 4 times. the battery dies every day, we drop calls, strange lines go across the display, and after a while the slider stops working properly. I am leaving T-mobile over this if they don't get me a phone that works.
