Verizon Ships LG Venus, Voyager to Ship on Wednesday

News by Ricky Cadden on Monday November 19, 2007.

Verizon Wireless has begun offering the LG Venus in its stores and online shop today, with the LG Voyager expected to follow on Wednesday. Both handsets feature touchscreens and 2 megapixel cameras, and should be popular this holiday season.

The LG Venus, announced earlier this year, features a touch panel below the main non-touch display. This touch panel features haptic feedback, giving users a small vibration when an on screen button is pressed. The buttons on this panel also 'morph' depending on what application is being used, making it convenient for users. A regular numeric keypad slides out from beneath the touch panel for easy number entry. The LG Venus is available online for $199.99 after a $50 rebate and two year contract.

The LG Voyager is a full touchscreen device that opens like a laptop to reveal a second display and full QWERTY keyboard. A microSD card slot with support for capacities up to 8GB offers expanded memory on the Voyager. This handset will be available from Verizon Wireless starting on Wednesday for $299.99 after a $50 rebate and two year contract.
