Nokia has announced that its Music Store will go live in the United Kingdom today (November 1st). Launched at the Go Play event in London recently, the Nokia Music Store allows consumers to download music tracks via PC or directly to their handsets. Individual tracks will cost 80 pence, with albums starting at 8 pounds. Tracks can be synchronized between PCs and mobile device easily.

The Nokia Music Store is a result of the Finnish handset manufacturer's purchase of LoudEye several years ago. LoudEye creates and maintains music stores for several carriers around the world. The Nokia Music Store will initially be available on the newly launched Nokia N81 and N95 8GB, with other handsets to follow shortly.
