HTC Updates Cingular/AT&T 8525

HTC has released an update for the Cingular/AT&T 8525 Pocket PC Phone Edition device, based on the HTC Hermes reference design, through the HTC America website. HTC's ROM version 2.15.502.3 introduces several new fixes and features for the 8525, though an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 is still not available for the device.

The new ROM allows the Cingular/AT&T 8525 to access Cingular Video and adds support for Push-to-Talk and BlackBerry Connect. According to HTC, many miscellaneous bug fixes are also included in the update. The 8525 ROM update can be downloaded from HTC America.
