Live from CTIA Wireless, Motorola has today announced a CDMA version of its Z6 slider handset while simultaneously rebranding the device from MOTORIZR to MOTOROKR, bringing the focus back to the handset's music capabilities. Following Motorola tradition, the CDMA device is known as the MOTOROKR Z6m.
While most specifications are the same as the GSM MOTOROKR Z6, the Z6m brings the addition of a 3.5mm headset jack and dedicated keypad lock switch, sure to be very beneficial to users. The same 64MB of on board memory with microSD expansion is present, and USB 2.0 provides an easy way to get your music on to the device. A 2.0" QVGA TFT LCD display and a 2.0 megapixel camera round out multimedia features, while Bluetooth with A2DP stereo headset support is a welcome addition. The CDMA MOTOROKR Z6m also includes EV-DO for high-speed wireless data access.
Motorola claim the MOTOROKR Z6m will be available during Q3 2007, with pricing and other release information yet to be announced.
