Product Launch by Michael Oryl on Monday February 26, 2007.

Today Samsung and T-Mobile quietly introduced a new folder handset, the Samsung SGH-T219. The T219 is a tri-band GSM (850/1800/1900MHz) entry level handset that offers good looks in a lightweight and affordable package.

The T219 offers basic features like SMS, MMS, and instant messaging, as well as T-Mobile's MyFaves system. The SGH-T219 includes a few organizer type apps such as a calendar, an alarm clock, a task list, and a calculator. It measures up at 88mm x 45mm x 20mm (3.5" x 1.8" x .8") and weighs only 79g (2.8oz). Other things of note include a voice memo recorder and a built-in speakerphone.

Available in red or brown, the T219 goes on sale today in T-Mobile shops and online at the company's website for a mere $19.99 with a new 2 year contract.
