With the release of BenQ-Siemens' unique version of the AL26 slider, the Hello Kitty model, young girls and women around the world can now have their favorite feline within arms reach. The newly launched Hello Kitty model is ideal for young girls that are looking for a fun and stylish, yet reliable, handset. This eye catching slider is styled in an appealing shimmery pink and white and is tattooed with the famous Hello Kitty logos and images on both the front and back.

Apart from looking good, the AL26 is a GSM handset that is available in two triband variations: 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900. The device will provide the user with up to 5 hours of talk time or 9 days of standby time and measures 87mm x 46mm x 19mm (3.4" x 1.8" x 0.7") - all in a package weighing just 79g (2.8oz). Additionally, the Hello Kitty slider comes with a user friendly 4 way d-pad and 2 softkeys that make it easy when composing or sending a text message to a friend. With the device's 65k TFT 130x130 pixel screen, the user can view SMS and MMS messages, or easily browse the web.

Other highlights of the handset are special Hello Kitty games, wallpaper, and ringtones. The keys on the device are also customizable, allowing for even more Hello Kitty inspired personalization. As if that wasn't enough, BenQ-Siemens has also included one more accessory to the line up, an eye catching Hello Kitty charm.

The AL26 Hello Kitty model will go on sale in select markets starting in August 2006.
