Motorola Updates CDMA Line with RAZR V3m

Product Launch by Brad Kellett on Tuesday April 04, 2006.

Motorola has added the RAZR V3m to its slim handset portfolio from CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas today. The RAZR V3m is a minor upgrade to the CDMA V3c, bringing its specifications in line with its GSM counterpart, the V3i.

Motorola are touting the V3m as a multimedia handset, so it is sensible then that the only major upgrade from the V3c before it is the addition of a microSD memory expansion slot, providing up to 1GB of external storage. EV-DO high-speed data is well utilized with over-the-air music downloads, and while Motorola state the handset includes a built-in music player, there is no word whether iTunes is installed.

Other features of the Motorola RAZR V3m are identical to its predecessor, and include a 65k color TFT LCD internal display with a 65k color CSTN external unit, 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, Bluetooth, and speakerphone functionality. The Motorola RAZR V3m is expected to be available in the first half of this year.
