T-Mobile UK Web 'n' Walk Ad Banned

T-Mobile has been reprimanded by the UK's Advertising Standards Authority for making exaggerated claims about its Web 'n' Walk service, after an objection from Orange about the advertisement using the line, "The internet, wherever you are."

Orange pointed out that since T-Mobile's 3G data coverage only covered 85% of the UK, the tagline was untrue. The Advertising Standards Authority agreed.

This judgment follows last month's decision by the same watchdog over another T-Mobile commercial featuring a woman holding a baby whilst driving.
