DoubleTwist has revealed a new feature in the latest version of its music management and playback app for Android. DoubleTwist can now transfer MP3 files between two Android phones using NFC technology.
If you have two phones that are NFC-capable, all it takes is a bump to share MP3 music files from one to another. The NFC bits are used to initiate the transfer, while the bulk of the data is sent over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Once the song is transferred, both phones will have the capability to play it back.
The update to doubleTwist that adds the NFC-sharing technology is in the Android Market now. Check out the video below demoing the process.
