Rovio's immensely popular bird-flinging game, Angry Birds, has hit a new milestone with 140 million downloads recorded. This is quite a leap from the 100 million reported just a over month ago in March.
Rovio has put Angry Birds on as many platforms as it can, including iOS, Android, Symbian, webOS, Mac OS, and Windows PCs. It will arrive on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform in May as well.
The company says its next big push for the franchise is in China, where it claims to be in the top three most popular brands, with Disney and Hello Kitty. Rovio hopes to have 100 million downloads in China this year. [via PC World]
